Dave D with his diesel and load in the woods
Our track site includes 1,357 feet of 7-1/4” gauge ground level track
running through field and forest.
On Run Days during May to October, we offer free rides to the public
usually the third Saturday of each month

The FSME owned club locomotive is a gas/hydraulic diesel (named “Brian” after its builder Brian Burns).
“Brian” was commissioned in 2016 and is used for hauling passengers and work trains.
During Battersea Pumpkin Festival (BPF) 2024, ‘Brian’ pulled 804 of the 1840 total passengers that day.

New members are given training so they can practice driving “Brian” almost immediately.

We also have 665 feet of multi-gauge elevated track
which can accommodate 3-1/2”, 4-3/4”, and 5” gauge trains.

The nameplate on one side is different from the other side, since the loco was named after two of his nieces.
